Patagonia
and Glaciers: Serrano river Navigation in Torres del Paine
This is an extra day
of navigation through the Fjord of Last Hope which enables the observation
of the magnificent Serrano and Balmaceda Glaciers. We suggest
to do this extension as a pre or post trip to any of our Torres
del Paine packages in Patagonia.
ITINERARY
If you choose
it as a Pre-Trip:
Day 0,
Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales
Transfer from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales. You can choose among
doing this transfer in a private car OR use the regular bus. Once
in Puerto Natales, transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 1,
Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine via Ultima Esperanza - Ecocamp
Board the 7AM catamaran (70 people capacity) through Ultima Esperanza
Fjord and reach Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers. Box lunch overlooking
the glaciers. Around 3 PM embark zodiac boats (8-10 people capacity)
and sail upstream the tranquil Serrano River. Reach Rio Serrano
waterfalls, disembark and walk gently around the falls. Board twin
boats upstream the falls and reach the Park Administration. Transfer
to the Ecocamp, meet the group arriving from Punta Arenas, and start
your regular trip in Torres del Paine (5, 7 or 10 day trek) (B,
L-, D);
If you choose it as
a Post-Trip:
Last day
of your trip
Early transfer from the camp to the Park Administration. Embark
the zodiacs and sail down the Serrano river. Connect with the catamaran
and sail the Ultima Esperanza fjord to Puerto Natales. Once there
transfer to your hotel for Overnight (B, L-).
Next day,
Transfer from Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas.
You can choose among doing this transfer in a private car OR use
the regular bus.
