Chile
gives you the choice of climbing some of the highest volcanoes in
the world. For your mountaineering trip you can choose between the
volcanoes of Licancabur, Parinacota or Ojos del Salado in the North,
El Plomo or Aconcagua in the Central Andes.
Aconcagua,
15 day, ,
November to March
This adventure
will take us to the highest point in the entire American continent
(6.959 m./22.834feet) and also the highest peak outside Asia.
This is a non technical ascent but requires an excellent physical
condition. |
Ojos
del Salado, 12 day, ,
November to March
The Ojos del Salado,
reaching 6.893 m/22.600 ft., is the highest volcano in the world
and the second highest summit in America. Its
remarkable setting in between turquoise lagoons filled with
wild birds, white sparkling salt pans and snowed peaks makes
it attractive even for the less mountain minded excursionists. |
El
Plomo, 4 1/2 day, ,
October to April
Cerro Plomo
(5.424m/ 12.600ft) is the giant ice-capped dome that domains
Santiago´s valley, visible from most parts of the city
on a clear day.
We suggest this itinerary as an acclimatization procces for
those willing to do the Aconcagua Expedition. |
| Volcan
Licancabur, 8 day, ,
all year
This is an amazing hiking trip to the Licancabur Volcano,
that used to be a sacred sanctuary for the ancient Incas that
domains the oasis of San Pedro. This is a non technical ascent.
